About Impact Volunteering

Our history

In 2007, a partnership between the Frankston City Council and Frankston Community Support and Information Centre was formed for the development of a Volunteer Resource Centre. After 2 years of tremendous effort from both groups the Frankston Volunteer Resource Centre (FVRC) was established in July 2009 and was located in the Frankston Library.

In February 2015, the Frankston Volunteer Resource Centre was renamed to Impact Volunteering. The decision to rename the organisation reflects our purpose, geographical reach and our longer term strategic objective to develop an independent organisation that makes a significant and sustainable contribution for the community benefit. Our Information and Referral Desk is still located within the Frankston City Library on Playne Street and our Administration Office (and mailing address) is located within the Ebdale Community Hub and Learning Centre on Ebdale Street.
